Poet, playwright and theatre practitioner Koleka Putuma's debut collection, Collective Amnesia, poems, won the 2018 Glenna Luschei Prize for African Poetry. She is also the author of the poetry collections We Have Everything We Need To Start Again and Hullo, Bu-bye, Koko, Come in and the theatre works UHM, Woza Sarafina, Mbuzeni and No Easter Sunday for Queers. In 2022 she was awarded the Standard Bank Young Artist Award, a first-time award for poetry. She lives in Cape Town.
