Poet and novelist Ben Okri was born in Minna, Nigeria in 1959. His books have won several awards including the Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Africa and the Paris Review's Aga Khan Prize for Fiction. His novel, The Famished Road, won the 1991 Booker Prize. He lives in London.
