Afrikaans writer Eben Venter grew up on a sheep farm in the Eastern Cape and lives in Australia. His novels include Ek stamel, ek sterwe, Horrelpoort, Wolf, Wolf, Santa Gamka and Groen soos die hemel daarbo. He has won numerous awards including the M-Net Literary Award and the WA Homer Prize.
