Richard Whitaker is Emeritus Professor of Classics at the University of Cape Town and a Contributing Editor of the poetry magazine Stanzas. He has translated books from Ancient Greek, Latin and French and published locally flavoured translations of Homer's Iliad (2012) and Odyssey (2017).

Douglas Reid Skinner has published six collections of poems, most recently, Liminal (2017). He has published several books of translation, including Poesie Scelte: selected poems, translated from the Italian of Marco Fazzini. He directed Carrefour Press, was editor of New Contrast, and is currently editor of Stanzas poetry magazine.
