Whistleblower Angelo Agrizzi, former COO of Bosasa, describes how he and late CEO Gavin Watson built Bosasa into the leading logistics provider largely to government and state-owned agencies and won corrupt tenders worth billions of rands. Watson died suspiciously in a car crash in August 2019, with Bosasa in liquidation and at the centre of state capture investigations by the Zondo Commission.
Agrizzi is critically ill in hospital. He had a heart attack in prison a week after the Specialised Commercial Crime Court denied him bail. He faces fraud and corruption charges related to payments allegedly making to former ANC MP Vincent Smith.
