Kronos: southern African histories is an accredited open access journal published annually by the Department of History and the Centre for Humanities Research at the University of the Western Cape.

This edition publishes the work that emerged in response to Red, an art installation by Simon Gush and his collaborators, in the workshop "Red Assembly", held in East London in August 2015.
