A novel set in the early 1990s. Mielie and Mare, two sisters in their early twenties, leave Cape Town, move to different cities on different continents, make different friends, fall in love - and write long letters to each other about it all.

"An engrossing read - flowing and funny and tender, chatty and lyrical. It casts a very shrewd eye on young love, social foibles, and getting through a certain time of life. It brought back a million memories."  Henrietta Rose-Innes, author of Nineveh and The Rock Alphabet

Journalist and author Daisy Jones covered the Truth and Reconciliation Commission for The Star and was a senior education writer for Business Day. Her first cookbook, Star Fish, won the Sunday Times and Radio 702 awards. She lives in Cape Town.

Writer and content editor Lucinda Hooley works mostly in corporate marketing and communication. A Vita-award-winning theatre and television actress, she lives on a farm in the Free State.
