Poet, playwright, director and performer Napo Masheane was born in Soweto, grew up in the Free state and lives in Johannesburg. She was a founding member of Feela Sistah! Spoken Word Collective, Deputy Artistic Director at The South African State Theatre (2017-2018) and is currently Managing Director of Village Gossip Productions and the founder/ curator of HerStory International Theatre Festival.
