Muzi Sikhakhane SC is a practising advocate and senior counsel in Johannesburg. He was admitted as an advocate in 2000, joined the Johannesburg Bar in 2002 and took silk in 2015.

Sikhakhane grew up in rural KwaZulu-Natal. His political activism began in the mid-1980s at Indumiso College, where he was an AZASO student leader. A member of the ANC and UDF and an MK operative, he left KwaZulu-Natal in 1987 and taught in Soweto. In 1994 he began studying at the University of the Witwatersrand, where he was involved in SASCO and served as SRC president.

Sikhakhane led the commission that investigated the conduct of former SARS executive Johann van Loggerenberg and represented Zuma during the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into State Capture.
