Gaireyah Fredericks won the 2025 Eugene Marais Prize and the UJ Prize in Afrikaans for her debut collection of short stories, Een voet innie kabr.

Second prize went to Dianne du Toit Albertze for her poem "Die kjeent", and third prize went to Yuwinn Kraukamp for his poem "Dood in albei tale".
