A tribute to Afrikaans author, playwright, academic, journalist and TV personality P.G. du Plessis (1934-2017). He was awarded the WA Hofmeyr Prize, the CNA Prize and the Hertzog Prize for his play Siener in die Suburbs (1971), and the WA Hofmeyr prize and the Hertzog Prize for the play Die nag van Legio (1969). He also served as the first director of the Institute for Languages, Literature and Arts at the HSRC.
