A sketchbook of 62 sketches of a pig. Handwritten on the first page is: 

Reform Committee 

Sentenced April 28th 1896. 

Pretoria Jail, Ascension Day 1896. 

"Showing our ideas of he Pig we bought in a poke from the Government of this so called Republic". 

The book contains facsimiles of drawings of pigs by members of the Reform Committee who were arrested for high treason and sentenced to death by hanging, including Lionel Phillips, Charles Leonard, Colonel Frank Rhodes (brother of Cecil), John Hays-Hammond and more. They were later left off with a large fine.
