Barbara Boswell is Associate Professor of English Literary Studies at the University of Cape Town. She is the author of Grace: A novel (2018 UJ Prize for Debut Creative Writing), And Wrote My Story Anyway: Black South African women’s novels as feminism and Lauretta Ngcobo: Writing as the practice of freedom. At present she is a Visiting Scholar at the Centre for Life Writing at Wolfson College, University of Oxford.
