Saul Sithole  (1908-1997) was an ornithological assistant to Herbert Lang, a German-born naturalist and photographer who took up a position at the Transvaal Museum in Pretoria in 1927. Sithole started working at the museum in 1928 and learned to skin birds from Lang. He joined the Vernay-Lang Kalahari Expedition of 1930, and afterwards worked and travelled primarily with South African ornithologist Austin Roberts as his general assistant.

Lorato Trok is an early literacy consultant and develops books for young children, especially in African languages. She has published children’s books and biographies for young adults, She is currently a Managing Editor at Puku Children’s Literature Foundation.
