Ian Knight's books include Brave Men's Blood: The anatomy of the Zulu army, The National Army Museum Book of the Zulu War and Zulu Rising, the epic story of Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift. He is Vice-president of the Anglo-Zulu War Historical Society and in 2008 was awarded their Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi Award for a lifetime's contribution to the field. He lives in Sussex.
