A collection of Hennie van Deventer's writings, mostly about the world of journalism and newspapers. Some of these articles have been previously published in newspapers, magazines and his earlier books.

Hennie van Deventer (b. 1941), now retired, was CEO at Naspers newspapers and editor-in-chief of the daily Volksblad newspaper. In 1976/77 he was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, and in 1997 received the highest NASPERS award, the Phil Weber Gold Medal. He is the author of over 20 books, the latest of which include Bure van nature (2021) en Koerantkamerade (2021). He lives in Melkbosstrand.
